Microsoft showcased a portfolio of games demonstrating that no matter what kind of game gets your heart pounding, Xbox 360is the only place to play all of this year’s biggest blockbusters and brand-new titles. Some of the biggest names to tour Asia in recent time joined forces to show their masterpieces:

Microsoft also today showcased its bold vision for enjoying entertainment at home and on the go with Xbox SmartGlass. Launching later this year, Xbox SmartGlass is a new free Xbox app which enables your tablet and mobile phone to connect to your Xbox console in an intelligent way. The intelligence of Xbox SmartGlass makes your entertainment more engaging, Web surfing more effortless, and playing games more immersive by delivering companion content and control to enhance your TV experience.

“Xbox is on a mission to make the entertainment that you love even more amazing and we know Hong Kong fans will really love how we are lighting up their devices,” said Rennie Addabbo, Director of Sales & Marketing of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft Greater Asia.

In a further showcase of innovation and collaboration, Microsoft for the first time in Hong Kong showcased Nike+ Kinect Training. Rennie Addabbo with the help of Nike executives ushered in a new era of home fitness, unveiling “Nike+ Kinect Training” only on Kinect for Xbox 360. Featuring Nike trainers who work with some of the company’s top athletes, “Nike+ Kinect Training” is a custom training program rooted in elite Nike fitness and specifically designed to help athletes of all levels reach their potential in the comfort of their own homes.

Finally, to honor the fans of Xbox 360, Microsoft announced an exciting Xbox LIVE tournament in search of the ultimate gamer. “Putting a light hearted spin on the competitive spirit of gamers, the tournament pits you against your buddies. Wrestle your way to the top of the table in our featured games, and win USD$10,000 and 24 Carat Gold plated Xbox 360. Eight games. One champion. The brawl starts soon” said Rennie Addabbo.

Launching soon, both gamers and fans can take part in the tournament either by playing or submitting their videos.

Other than that, the Halo game series released its first game with Microsoft Xbox launched in Asia since 2002. To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Xbox launching in Asia, as well as the launch of “Halo 4” on 6 November, Xbox 360 has organized an activity entitled “Designing Master Chief Memorable Edition Poster by Hong Kong Halo fans”. We are currently inviting local Halo gamers to join the activity in order to celebrate Master Chief’s return in Halo 4. All you need to do to participate is capture 15 in-game screenshots from “Halo Anniversary” or “Halo Reach” and share them at [email protected], including your gamertag, name, and contact number. All participants will earn a “Locus Helmet” or a “Deadeye Helmet” download code for use in Halo 4’s multiplayer mode, along with a free Master Chief Memorial Edition Poster.
