Microsoft Hong Kong introduces Rapid Antigen Tests Reporting portal on Teams for Education for Schools

Additional support from Microsoft Teams to support schools manage the resumption of in-person classes and empower teachers and students

5 May 2022, Hong Kong – Microsoft Hong Kong today announced the “Rapid Antigen Tests Reporting on Teams” portal for institutions in Hong Kong. The portal helps institutions adapt to the new social distancing measures on campus for in-person classes. The features are free for kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, and higher education institutions under Microsoft Office 365 Teams for Education.

Complimentary RAT reporting is a feature under Teams for Education

Through the Teams for Education complimentary license, teachers can quickly keep up-to-date with the submission status of students’ RAT reports and the test results and create consolidated reports for the school office and the Education Bureau. The portal is easy to set up with no additional settings or fees required. All data are properly kept and can be accessed through computers, mobile phones, or tablets for school administrative purposes.

“Ensuring the safety and health of our future generation is of utmost importance to Microsoft Hong Kong. During this challenging period, helping schools reduce their workload in managing a massive amount of data and RAT reports is our priority. With our Rapid Antigen Tests Reporting Platform, Microsoft is committed to helping schools in Hong Kong to overcome the challenging environment when resuming in-person classes and empower students to achieve more, by enabling reporting to be done in a simpler and efficient way” said Serena Cheung, Director of the Public Sector Group (PSG) at Microsoft Hong Kong.

Additional support to schools by Microsoft Teams for Education & Microsoft Office 365

In addition to the free support of the new RAT report portal, Teams for Education is also intuitive to changes and can be adapted to meet the schools’ needs – in managing the resumption of classes in phases, responding to sudden class suspensions, and allowing for blended with hybrid teaching and extracurricular activities, administrations and communication – to minimize the impact of any disruptions.

Empowering schools for an engaged and safe learning environment

Microsoft is committed to harnessing the power of IT to transform education. First launched in 2004, in collaboration with the Education Bureau of Hong Kong SAR government (EDB), the Microsoft Partners in Learning (PiL) program provides professional development for over 20,000 educators and teachers to upskill them with new learning and teaching approaches, utilizing technology to equip students with critical future-ready skills.

Since the early stage of the pandemic, Microsoft Hong Kong has launched the “Learn Anywhere Remote Teaching” Program, in which all kindergartens, primary and secondary educators have complimentary access to Microsoft Office 365 for Education to enable them to build collaborative classrooms and create a safe, secure and collaborative learning environment.
