June 30 2025, Hong Kong – Microsoft has appointed Leo Liu as the new General Manager of Microsoft Hong Kong and Macau, with immediate effect. He succeeds Cally Chan, who has served in the role for eight years.
In this role, Liu will lead the company’s overall strategy and business operation, spearheading business expansion efforts and driving digital transformation for customers and partners. He will report to Yang Hou, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Microsoft Greater China Region.

Liu brings a wealth of experience from his work across APAC and Europe, demonstrating a deep understanding of strategy and execution within the high-tech industry.

Prior to Microsoft, Liu had held several leadership roles at different international cloud service providers, leading the business operation in both APAC and Europe. Liu is also an active promoter of cloud computing and AI in social education. He is acting as the Board Member of Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited, Council Member of the Hong Kong Computer Society, IT Management Committee member of the Hong Kong Management Association, ICT Service Advisory Committee member of Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
