Serena Cheung

Director, Public Sector Group (PSG), Microsoft Hong Kong

As the Director of the Public Sector Group (PSG) at Microsoft Hong Kong, Serena Cheung manages Microsoft’s relationships with the Government, as well as customers from the Education and Healthcare sectors . She also leads the business growth and cloud transformation in the Public Sector, aligning with the Government’s Digital 21 Strategy. At the same time, she is also the Lead of Greater Bay Area. Since taking on this role at March 2019, her primary objective was to develop and grow cross boarder partner and start up eco-system and business across commercial and government industries like Retail, Property Development, FSI and Healthcare etc.
PPrior to her current role, Serena was the Director for One Commercial Partner and Small, Medium & Corporate Customers. Through leveraging technology and unleashing the team’s creativity and innovation, she led various effective campaigns to drive digital transformation for Microsoft Hong Kong’s partner eco-system and customers. Additionally, she was responsible to drive sales and market comprehensive solutions for small to mid-market business customers, oversee Microsoft Hong Kong’s partner strategy and support a large partner eco-system that created a range of solutions to help customers meet their unique business needs.

Before that, she held a wide variety of roles across Small, Medium & Corporate Customers at Microsoft Hong Kong. Started her career at Microsoft as Partner Strategy and Platform Lead over eight years ago, Serena was responsible for the entire Microsoft Partner Ecosystem, Incentive Program and broad base demand generation campaigns. She then moved to a more customer segment focused Sales Lead role. She was also the Sales Director for Corporate Account & Partner Sales, a unique role that oversees the end-to-end process, from internal sellers to solution and license partners in the transformation to Cloud and Mobility.

Serena has been in sales leader position since Microsoft first launched the productivity suite on Cloud. She has pioneered in assisting customers on Cloud adoption, as well as developed and expanded partner capability in Hong Kong to drive cloud consumption. Prior to Microsoft, she was with Lenovo / IBM, where she gained knowledge and experience on Partners. As the Channel Sales Manager, she established the distribution channel and added value to the reseller’s network to grow the Intel Based Server Business. Her last role at Lenovo (after IBM sold the PC business to Lenovo) was Director of Brand, Product & Marketing.

Born, raised and educated in Hong Kong, Serena has a Bachelor of Arts, major in History, from the University of Hong Kong. She was the Chairman of the Student Association of St John’s College.
