Citrix and Microsoft are strengthening a long-standing partnership by making it easier for customers to use Citrix’s application and desktop virtualization products, as well as control a fleet of mobile devices, in the Microsoft Azure cloud. Citrix has kicked off its annual partner Summit in Anaheim this week with news of the expanded pact with Microsoft.

For an early look into how chat bots are being used commercially, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella suggests looking at the insurance industry. A pilot project conducted by the International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics, in association with Microsoft and AP government, tested a new sowing application for farmers combined with a Personalized Village Advisory Dashboard in a small area in Andhra Pradesh to demonstrate a 30 percent higher average in yield per hectare.

This integration provides customers with a single view of all Azure subscriptions, continuous workload monitoring capabilities and suggestions for remediating security issues.
