Microsoft India along with its key partners has been on the ride to collaborate with the small and medium industries association to take the SMB businesses to cloud. In this direction, Tamil Nadu Small and Tiny Industries Association (TANSTIA), an apex industry body in Tamil Nadu, and Microsoft have come together to enable 10,000 small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the state, adopt information technology and cloud computing to connect better with suppliers, distributors, government agencies and reach out to more customers across India.

Microsoft Ventures in India today announced the launch of new corporate engagement initiative – Innovation for Corporates (ICI) at Think Next 2015. The program aims to work with enterprise businesses to develop and implement different models to attain innovation driven growth by engaging with startups.

After launching its Omen gaming laptop and Pavilion 15 series last month in India, HP on Thursday announced back-to-school Windows 8.1-based Envy and Pavilion laptops in the market. The Windows 8.1-based HP Pro Tablet 608 will be HP’s first Windows-10 tablet in the market.

Hybrids to Represent 12% of Total Mobile PC Sales in 2015, Hybrid Ultramobiles to Be Fastest-Growing Segment of Mobile PC Market in 2015 according to Gartner. Microsoft’s Surface is classified as a tablet ultramobile by Gartner. In the ultramobile tablet segment, Microsoft stood at No. 1 with 36% market share in 2014. Combining the ultramobile hybrid and the ultramobile tablet, Microsoft was No. 3 with 14% market share worldwide.

Microsoft India, in partnership with iBall, launched the iBall Splendo, the first compact and affordable PC-on-a-stick device that can convert a TV into a fully functional PC and a Smart TV.”The iBall Splendo is for people who love devices and want to be connected all the time using multiple form factors,” said Vineet Durani – Director Windows Business Group, Microsoft India.

Microsoft has partnered with Tamil Nadu Small and Tiny Industries Association (TANSTIA) to sell IT solutions to 10,000 SMBs in the state.
