Microsoft launched its flagship smartphone Lumia 435, available at Infibeam. The Lumia 435 Dual SIM is powered by a 1.2GHz Dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1 GB RAM, and is equipped with Windows OS 8.1 with Lumia Denim. The handset features a set of Microsoft services that include Microsoft’s Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote), Outlook, Skype, and OneDrive.

Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones is now available to download. This is a pre-release version of Microsoft’s upcoming mobile operating system. Here a detailed procedure how you could download if you want to try the new operating system on your Windows Phone device.

A new update to Skype for Android brings in some really cool features: the new version, Skype 5.2, is now available in Google Play and allows users to share photographs with their contacts, whether online or offline.

Microsoft announced a list of upcoming improvements for its Office Online suite of apps. The company said that it is rolling out updates which will improve “the Reading View, file management and editing experiences.”

Less than a month after showcasing Windows 10 on mobiles, Microsoft has released the first build for those who have signed up for the Insider programme. This single OS is meant to run on variety of devices including smartphones, tablets, convertibles, and desktops. Currently, the test build is only compatible with the Lumia 830, 730, 630, 635, 636, and 638.

Sales of smartphones in the country, growing at a frenzied pace, is expected to touch 150 million units in calendar 2015. Kisley Kumar, director (east), Nokia India Sales Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile Oy, said, “The Lumia brand of smartphone is growing faster than the industry average. Our products are designed keeping in view the consumer sentiment. All our smartphones are equipped with all Microsoft services like Windows 8.1, Office, Skype, One Drive and X-Box games and these features are free.”

Microsoft India has simplified cloud adoption for small and medium businesses (SMBs) further with the addition of Dynamics CRM Online under the Open Licensing program. “Our 10,000-strong partner network in India has been instrumental in bringing the benefits of IT to SMBs. Availability of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online under open licensing allows our partners to bring a powerful new tool to the market,” said Meetul Patel, GM, small and midmarket solutions and partners, India.

Microsoft has acquired the Sunrise Atelier, maker of the popular sunrise calendar app. The app allows users to import their calendar from Google Calendar, iCloud, and Exchange. In a blog post, Rajesh Jha, Vice President, Microsoft, said “the creative talent and fresh thinking at Sunrise and Acompli will make a lasting impact on the Microsoft family as we seek to reinvent productivity.”

Microsoft is planning to bring its latest Windows 10 to some of its low-end Lumia smartphones. Microsoft’s Garbiel Aul, who is leading the Windows 10 Insider program, stated that he’s currently testing Windows 10 on a Nokia Lumia 635, and the OS is “very smooth on it overall”.
