The Times of India: Top 50 BSE listed companies now on Microsoft cloud

Microsoft India Chairman Bhaskar Pramanik claimed that the top 50 of the 100 Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) companies have adopted the Microsoft cloud infrastructure, within the first six months of its launch. He said, “We are the first hyper-scale global cloud provider to offer cloud services from local data centers in India. In the first six months of our local cloud launch, we have seen 50 of the top 100 companies listed on BSE adopt Microsoft cloud to drive their digital transformation.”

GamingBolt: Fallout 4 mods receiving beta on Xbox One

Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 4 will be receiving mods for Xbox One this month following the release of the Far Harbor DLC. According to an announcement on Twitter, there will be a beta for the mods on Xbox One. Though a specific release date hasn’t been provided, Far Harbor is out on May 19th, so one can expect Fallout 4 soon after.

As of now, these ad-blocking extensions are only available for Windows 10 Insider Preview users who have downloaded the latest preview version of Windows 10.

CIO India: Microsoft strips Store blocking from Windows 10 Pro

Microsoft last week confirmed that it has stopped letting business customers block the Windows Store in Windows 10 Pro. Instead, the ability to turn off the Store has been restricted to Windows Enterprise, the top-tier SKU (stock-keeping unit) available only to large customers. Microsoft said that removing Store blocking from Windows 10 Pro, making it Windows 10 Enterprise-only, was to cast the latter as the preferred business edition.

Silicon India: Free upgrade to Windows 10 be quenched soon

Windows is one of the widely trusted and highly used operating system. The company is planning to introduce various changes for its users. According to Microsoft, Windows 10 will be available as a service since it is going to be the last version of Windows. Though Windows 7 and 8 users still have time till 29th July to upgrade freely to Windows 10 but later on users will have to buy license to upgrade.

GamingBolt: Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Eclipse releasing on May 19th

The Eclipse DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be releasing for Xbox One and PC on May 19, 2016. Eclipse features four new maps: Spire, Rift, Knockout and Verge along with another Zombies map. Verge is actually a remake of Bonzai from Call of Duty: World at War. The new Zombies map is called Zetsubou No Shima and will continue the tale of the Origins heroes. It will also feature the usual array of secrets, weapons, traps and more.

First Post: Microsoft is taking submissions for its Bot Directory

Microsoft’s Bots framework was among the many show stealers at Build 2016. Finally, the company has announced that it will start taking submissions from developers for its Bot Directory. The company said, “With Microsoft Bot Framework, it’s your bot wherever your users are talking. Thanks for all the great feedback and input within the past month, we’re pushing hard and look forward to providing additional updates in the near future. Here’s a few screen grabs of the review process, including a look at a bot entry in the Directory (once it goes live). Get those submissions going, and if you have any feedback, we’d love to hear it.”

CIO India: Businesses can now buy apps in bulk from the Windows Store

App developers now have an easier way to sell their wares to businesses running Windows 10. Microsoft said developers can submit paid apps for inclusion in the Windows Store for Business, a version of the online store for Windows 10, that companies can use to distribute software to their employees over the web. This means businesses have an easier way to purchase apps for their users and distribute them across a large population of Windows 10 PCs and tablets.

NDTV Gadgets: Microsoft to address UN on ‘Digital Terror’

Microsoft has accepted an invitation from the UN Security Council to address a special debate next week on counter-terrorism and confronting “digital terror”. The ministerial-level debate is organized by Egypt, which holds this month’s presidency of the 15-member council. A Microsoft spokesman confirmed that a representative of the software giant will participate in the special session.
