Newgen Software, a global provider of content and communication management solutions has partnered with Microsoft to introduce NEMF (Newgen Enterprise Mobility Framework). It is an enterprise grade mobile capture app for all mobility devices running Windows. Harish Vaidyanathan, Director (ISV business), Microsoft India, said, “Solutions like NEMF by Newgen will help end users be more productive on-the-go and impact organizational growth positively.”

Satya Nadella, CEO, Microsoft had a word of praise for the large community of developers and entrepreneurs in India and said that the US software giant will like to have a deeper engagement with them. At Microsoft’s ‘Tech for Good, Ideas for India’ event, he said, “It’s so inspiring for me to come here to see this broad spectrum of student developers, entrepreneurs, artists and even some big brands, e-commerce companies who are all changing the landscape of India and thereby, the world.” The company is also understood to have suggested to the government to engage its Skype setup in the unique identification programme ‘Aadhaar’.

Microsoft has announced that they are partnering with Kik to introduce an integration that will help developers bring more users to their bots. According to an official statement posted on a blog by Kik, they announced that the “Microsoft Bot Framework allows developers to write bot code once and, using the Microsoft Bot Connector, deploy on multiple channels, including Skype, Slack, and SMS. Today, I’m happy to announce that Kik has also been launched as a channel on the Microsoft Bot Connector.”

With Microsoft’s Insider Preview Build 14352 of Windows 10, new features include the ability to ask Cortana for specific songs and ink reminders in Windows Ink’s Sticky Notes. The most interesting addition is this: users can now run two antivirus programs on their PC. Gamers, too, receive a boost: full-screen Windows Game bar support for some perpetual hits like League of Legends and World of Warcraft.

On May 20, 2016, MoneyOnMobile and Enfold signed an agreement to provide digital lockers to MoneyOnMobile’s 170 million unique user base. The digital locker service will be hosted on Microsoft’s Azure data centers located in India. Mark Ozur, Partner Architect and General Manager, Microsoft Azure, said, “Enfold’s agreement with MoneyOnMobile illustrates the value that Microsoft Cloud is bringing to the Indian market. By adopting Azure as their technology platform Enfold has gained the ability to scale to hundreds of millions of users as their business grows. Class 10 CBSE board results are set to be announced and millions of students along with their parents across India have geared up for the same. This year, Microsoft has collaborated with CBSE, to ensure easy access to exam result for class 10 on Bing. Results for class 10 exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be available for students, parents and teachers on Microsoft’s search engine.

Its Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s turn to revisit the Indian shores to try and leverage the under-penetrated market here. The chief executive, who will be visiting India for the third time after taking over from Steve Ballmer as CEO in February 2014, is expected to interact with developers, students, young achievers and entrepreneur sat an event organized by Microsoft on May 30 called – ‘Tech for Good, Ideas for India’.
