Azure Stack, Microsoft’s hybrid cloud system, is getting close to release. The tech giant unveiled the third major public beta for customers that want to test it out. The new release brings a handful of additional capabilities for users to test, like support for Azure D-Series virtual machine sizes and deployment with ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) to support systems that don’t have constant connections to Azure.

Microsoft and Cambridge built an algorithm capable of writing code that would solve simple math problems. The algorithm, named DeepCoder, would be able to augment its own ability by also looking at potential combinations of code for how a problem could be solved. “We’re targeting the people who can’t or don’t want to code, but can specify what their problem is,” says Marc Brockschmidt of Microsoft Research, a co-author of the paper.

Microsoft is bringing support for Google Calendar and Google Contacts to encourage more Gmail users to use the mail client. This update is only available to Mac users on the Office Insider Fast Community for now, but should roll out to all users in the future after sufficient testing.

At the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, Microsoft announced a couple of important steps in its push toward mixing the real world with the virtual. First off, the company confirmed mixed reality experiences are coming to the Xbox family in 2018, including the next-gen Project Scorpio.

Only four days after releasing build 15042, Microsoft has released Windows 10 for PCs Insider Preview build 15046 to the participators of the Windows Insider Program.

Microsoft has been working on the next update to its operating system Windows 10, ever since the announcement last year at the launch of Microsoft Surface Studio. The next version of Windows as previously reported is dubbed as Microsoft Creators Update. This update comes right after the launch of Anniversary Update in August last year.

Microsoft’s ambitious acquisition of LinkedIn is about revenue growth, not cost savings, Chief financial Officer Amy Hood said. “To add more customers. To increase their impact. To have it grow faster. To accelerate our business. To have the technical integration to deliver customer value…. I’m deeply, deeply focused on driving revenue growth,” he said at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference.

Microsoft Corp, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Intel Corp and more than two dozen other companies have teamed up to develop standards and technology to make it easier for enterprises to use blockchain code Ethereum in the latest push by large firms to move toward distributed ledger systems.

Tata Motors surprised everyone by publishing pictures of its latest two-door concept hatchback, the C-Cube, on its Facebook page. The concept hatch is on display at Future Decoded 2017, a digital transformation event hosted by Microsoft India. The home-grown automaker recently partnered with Microsoft to work on connected cars.

Microsoft is rolling out an update for Mail and Calendar apps for all Windows 10 users bringing ‘architectural improvements’ and many new features. The update includes introduction of the Focused Inbox feature that was first exclusive to the mobile version of the Mail app, and color scheming for the Calendar app for better management of events and schedules.
