BGR.IN: Microsoft brings its personal assistant Cortana to Android and IoS

After bringing Office and Outlook for Android and iOS, Microsoft announced it will bring its personal assistant, Cortana, to its rival platforms. “We also realize that many people use iPhones or Android phones, and we want them to enjoy some of their Windows experience and content while away from their Windows 10 PC,” said, Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President, Operating Systems Group at Microsoft.

Times of India: Office now may be Cortana for your work life

Cortana, the digital assistant that will ship with Windows 10, may land in Office in the future to serve as your work assistant. The unannounced feature, currently known as Office Now, is said to be a rebrand of the earlier Work Assistant. “Cortana has an extensibility framework, so other third-party providers can connect to Cortana to let them use natural voice commands to extract business information from their systems,” said Stella Chernyak of the Windows team at Ignite.
