In a move that helps solidify Microsoft’s attempt at being taken seriously by PC gamers, the company is partnering with Tencent to bring popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game League of Legends (LoL) to the Windows 10 store. This was announced on the company’s blog.

Software giant Microsoft, led by its CEO Satya Nadella, has developed yet another cloud tool that allows team members to share and collaborate on documents with one another. Part of Microsoft Office, the new tool called “Delve” surfaces the stuff one is interested in automatically. “It’s kind of like a Facebook news feed for work,” Nadella told CNN. “I can see all the work happening inside Microsoft, and it lights up based on what my topics of interest are. Think about how empowering it is to have that kind of transparency and access.”

Microsoft launched its most affordable internet ready phone in India – the Nokia 215 Dual SIM – priced at Rs.2,149, a company statement said. “India is a ‘mobile-first’ market, and feature phones are the first port of access to internet for a large number of mobile users,” said Raghuvesh Sarup, director-marketing, Nokia India Sales, a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobiles Oy.

Economic Times: Microsoft to open datacentre in Pune

Microsoft today announced that it would be opening a datacentre in Pune by the end of the year, one of the three that it would be opening in India. Speaking at the launch of the Microsoft Cloud Accelerator Program, Bhaskar Pramanik, chairman, Microsoft India, said, “The program is designed to help India move to the cloud and in turn, help ‘Make in India’ become a reality. This will open up new possibilities in e-governance, financial inclusion, healthcare and education.”
