Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad visits the Microsoft CityNext booth at the Cities 4.0 + Business 4.0 Conference 2018

On the 27th of August 2018, Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad visited the Microsoft CityNext booth at the Cities 4.0 + Business 4.0 Conference 2018.

The Cities 4.0 Conference and Exhibition is designed to provide a platform to discuss on frameworks and strategies that highlighting and measuring smart city and urban planning. It is intended to be an integrated platform for the experts to connect with the city leaders to explore and align goals for the future.

During his visit to the Microsoft  CityNext booth, Prime Minister Mahathir was shown a number of cutting edge technologies such as the HoloLens mixed reality where he viewed a projected hologram of inside a human heart. With the use of voice command he could interpret, dissect and interact with different parts of the heart. He was also given a holographic view of a connected city scape which with mixed reality, where immersed into the virtual of an actual city scape.

The Prime Minister was then briefed by the Poladrone team about the amazing work they do to create a better, sustainable smart city. He was introduced to the Phantom 4 RTK – a fully automated drone which capable of performing 3D modelling of connected smart cities and Cyberjaya will be the pioneer project. He was also introduced to 2 other drones –  Matricoe 200 with Z230 a heavy duty drone with high zoom camera used for inspection work and the biggest agriculture spraying drone which is already deployed in Kedah.

In addition to this, Tun M also experienced our ModernWorkplace solutions and tested the new and sleek Surface Go, the latest Surface device available in Malaysia.
