KUALA LUMPUR, 15 March 2021 – Sime Darby Property, Malaysia’s biggest property developer in terms of land bank, is embarking on a digital transformation journey with Microsoft, as part of the organization’s efforts to modernize its systems and offer a more enhanced experience to customers.
The collaboration sees Sime Darby Property working with Microsoft and its partner, Enfrasys, to adopt its trusted cloud platform, Microsoft Azure for best-in-class and secure cloud solutions. In January 2021, Sime Darby Property became the first property developer in Malaysia to fully migrate its existing core applications and servers to Microsoft Azure cloud.
By moving its servers and applications onto Microsoft Azure, the company aims to fulfil its ambitions to become a data-driven organization and enable a more secure and reliable infrastructure for rapid innovation. This move will, in the near future, allow for a hyper-personalized customer-centric business model and promote end-to-end operational excellence from managing procurement contracts to purchase-to-payment systems. The migration to the cloud is further aligned with Sime Darby Property’s security frameworks and policies in support of their digital aspirations.

In the runway to this partnership, Sime Darby Property undertook a comprehensive evaluation of private and public cloud providers, which resulted in Microsoft Azure being selected as the platform to fuel their transformation.
