Ellian Teo is the General Manager for Enterprise Commercial (EC) at Microsoft Malaysia. In this role, Ellian is responsible for the go-to-market strategy and overall financial enterprise commercial performance for the Malaysian business across all products and services. In addition, Ellian oversees and enhances Microsoft’s long-term partnerships with existing enterprise customers in Malaysia and the APAC region, while contributing to new business development areas.
As the General Manager for EC, Ellian is entrusted to drive business growth and is pivotal in strengthening Microsoft Malaysia’s extensive vendor partner ecosystem, particularly among financial services, telecommunications, and manufacturing industries.
Ellian has held senior leadership positions at both local and regional levels for almost 20 years. Ellian is acclaimed for her expertise in empowering customers in their digital transformation journey and enables them to fully utilize and appreciate the adoption of cloud services and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Ellian joined Microsoft in 2016 as a Senior Account Director for the Enterprise telecommunications sector. In this role, Ellian demonstrated exceptional performance and contributed significantly to the subsidiary’s overall growth. Ellian was previously the Account Team Unit Leader where she was responsible to transform the account team to become more industry and digital transformation focused, particularly in the financial services and telecommunications sector.
Prior to Microsoft, Ellian was a Regional Key Account Director for Oracle Malaysia where she helmed the planning, orchestration and implementation of all sales and commercial strategies across 7 countries for a regional telecommunications corporation. She had also served IBM in a business development role for the financial services industry for more than three years.
Over the years, Ellian has proven her abilities and passion to lead, innovate and empower organisations to achieve more. Testament to this, she has effectively built strategic partnerships with key players across industries and was instrumental in accelerating digital transformation for their respective businesses.
She graduated from the University of East London with a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems. Outside of work, Ellian enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
