Human Resource Lead,
As the Human Resource (HR) Leader, Siew Yi oversees HR matters at Microsoft Malaysia, from talent management to workplace solutions.
Her key focus includes strategizing and implementing talent elevation policies where her expertise lies in leadership roles. She is responsible for end-to-end processes including attracting, developing, and retaining current and future leaders and leadership teams for the Malaysian subsidiary.
With a career concentrated purely on HR, Siew Yi has over 20 years of experience under her belt. Aside from talent management, she is also instrumental in nurturing an inclusive growth-focused work culture at Microsoft Malaysia.
Siew Yi has been with Microsoft for over a decade and has been leading the overall function as the HR Leader since 2017 alongside the Malaysia Leadership Team. Leveraging her expertise and experience, she has played and continues to play a crucial role in embracing and leading the change in support of the evolving HR Operating Model with agility and close collaboration across different HR functions and to infuse boundary-less mindset in seeking talent, business, and customer solutions.
Before joining Microsoft, Siew Yi was the HR Advisor of British Petroleum Malaysia and had also served Hewlett Packard Malaysia for over two years as a HR Generalist prior to that.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in HR Management, from Multimedia University.
