Four titans of tech cut the rope on Ignite NZ 2015 at the Kick-Off event on Tuesday 1 September. Their massive stage presence was microscopic against the monumental footprint they’ve each left on the industry.
The event was opened by ‘the most all-in person you’ll ever meet’: Distinguished Engineer, Laura Butler. Laura has unique way of sharing stories and leading teams. Her keynote offers a glimpse into the unique mind and experiences of a hugely successful career at Microsoft, beginning as an intern on Windows 1.0.
Following Laura, James Staten shared customer and partner Azure stories from his perspective as General Manager, Cloud + Enterprise Division – Strategy Business Director.
The keynote continued on a high with Pixar/Disney’s Business Director, Chris Ford, sharing the immense power of Microsoft Azure to deal with trillions of pixels at a click’s whim.
Finally, the Ignite NZ 2015 crowd were introduced to Cortana, Windows Hello and Corporate Vice President of PC, Tablet and Phone, Joe Belfiore.
