Congratulations to all of the finalists of this year’s Hi-Tech Awards! Microsoft is honoured to be included in the line-up, alongside some of the most impressive names in our local tech sector.
The awards recognise the work of New Zealand’s most successful high-tech companies over the past year and celebrate the positive impact they’ve had on the sector. We’re extremely proud to have been named as a finalist in the Halo Consulting Best Contribution to the NZ Tech Sector category.
“For us, this isn’t just an acknowledgement
of Microsoft, it’s about acknowledging the strong relationships we’ve built with our partners and customers here in New Zealand, and the things we’ve been able to accomplish when we collaborate as a team,” says Vanessa Sorenson, Managing Director of Microsoft New Zealand.
“From the #10KWomen programme, which is bringing together partners from across Aotearoa to empower more women and girls to grow their confidence using technology and aspire to tech careers, to our work with TupuToa to address the underrepresentation of Māori and Pacific peoples in IT, to our partners in the education sector who are helping more Kiwis learn employment-ready Microsoft skills like Azure – when we work together, our contribution is so much greater.”
As the NZ Hi-Tech Trust points out, the immense number of entrants is another indication of the increasing levels of innovation in the New Zealand tech sector and its potential to lead the way in growing Aotearoa’s economy.
The 2022 NZ Hi-Tech Awards Gala Dinner will take place on Friday 5 August 2022 at TSB Arena in Wellington. We look forward to hearing more amazing tech transformation and innovation stories on the night.
