SingTel first in Singapore to offer direct carrier billing for Windows Phone Store purchases

SINGAPORE, March 6, 2014 – SingTel Windows Phone users can now enjoy the one-stop convenience of charging their Windows Phone Store purchases directly to their monthly postpaid mobile bill.

SingTel is the first mobile operator in Singapore to offer this payment option, which allows customers to make secure purchases of Windows Phone apps and in-app content without the need for a credit card. All transactions are consolidated into a single bill for simplicity and easy management.

Ms Gan Siok Hoon, SingTel’s Vice President of mCommerce, said: “We are excited to offer Windows Phone customers who are looking for alternative ways of payment other than credit cards, access to the vast variety of quality apps and games available in the Windows Phone Store. The introduction of direct carrier billing is part of our ongoing efforts to provide our customers with the best and most seamless mobile commerce experience.”
