Electronics and telecommunications industry veteran to lead overall retail strategies for Microsoft’s consumer products in Singapore
SINGAPORE, 3 September 2015 – Microsoft Singapore today announced the appointment of Arthur Huang as its Consumer Channels Group Lead.
As Consumer Channels Group Lead, Arthur reports directly to Jessica Tan, Managing Director of Microsoft Singapore, and is responsible for developing the overall retail strategies for Microsoft’s consumer products, including Windows PC, Surface, Xbox, Office and Microsoft Hardware in Singapore. He will also play a key role in developing and enhancing relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), distributors, retailers and operator partners, to collectively drive product adoption among consumers.
Arthur joins Microsoft from Midea International, a global home appliances company, where he was vice president of corporate marketing. During his tenure, he was responsible for strategic marketing development and brand enhancement across the company’s business units worldwide. In addition, Arthur was in charge of the company’s ASEAN and India sales operations, where he led the implementation of policies and processes to improve operational efficiency across sales and marketing operations. He also served as a board of director at several Midea joint venture companies in Asia.
Prior to joining Midea International, Arthur spent five years at LG Electronics in Singapore, where he was chief operating officer and vice president of sales and marketing. Since joining the company, he transformed the LG brand to be one of the Top Four Asian Brands named by Media Magazine in 2009, and spearheaded sales growth in the TV and mobile phone categories.

Arthur begun his role at Microsoft Singapore in May 2015, and has a master’s degree in business administration from West Texas A&M University, as well as a master’s degree in international management from the American Graduate School of International Business (Thunderbird) in Arizona, U.S. During his free time, he enjoys reading and participating in various sports activities.
