Microsoft partners: A unique ecosystem that is accelerating the digital transformation of organisations in Singapore

 |   Gerald Leo, Director for One Commercial Partner and Small, Midmarket and Corporate Customers, Microsoft Singapore

It has been another fantastic year for Microsoft and our partners in Singapore. Last evening at the Microsoft Singapore Partners’ Star Awards, we celebrated the achievements of our partners, and our ability to achieve more.

Together we inspire the world was the theme of the Awards, and I truly believe that is what we will do. Opportunities are aplenty for us together to empower organisations of all sizes and industries in Singapore, and beyond, to realise the benefits of digital transformation and build a more inclusive society.

The digital transformation opportunity

75 percent of business leaders we spoke to, as part of the Microsoft Digital Transformation Study, in Singapore believe that they need to transform to a “digital business” to enable growth in the digital economy. Yet, only 34 percent of business leaders have a full digital transformation strategy in place, while 50 percent are in progress with specific digital transformation initiatives for selected parts of their business.

This presents an opportunity for our unique partner ecosystem to help every part of our society and economy achieve more and meet their digital transformation goals.

Our partners are driving real change in Singapore

The ability to take a small business and make them more productive; take a large multinational, digitally transform them, and make them globally competitive; public sector, making them more efficient, that’s the breadth and richness of the collective impact. No other ecosystem has that.

Digital transformation is not exclusive to the public and private sectors; it is the right and opportunity for non-profit organisations too. As an industry, we can help non-profits digitally transform to raise funds, improve productivity, accelerate innovation and ultimately have a greater impact on the world’s most pressing issues.

This year, we have also added a new partner appreciation category for Technology for Good, to celebrate partners who have addressed real needs of our communities and societies with technology.

At the Awards, we had the privilege to host the team from Special Olympics Asia Pacific, a non-profit dedicated to transforming the lives of people with intellectual disabilities through sport. They have recently embarked on an ambitious project to help people with intellectual disabilities to live a better live by leverage technology. We look forward to rallying the strength and capabilities of our partner ecosystem to help Special Olympics achieve this goal. I will like to thank our partners for their generous donations last evening towards this very worthy cause.

Celebrating our partners’ achievements and customers’ success

This year, we are pleased to recognise some of our partners who have delivered effective and innovative offerings to address customers’ demands for digitisation at the annual Microsoft Partners’ Star Awards.

Just as how Microsoft has reorganised our resources into four key solution areas that act as the ingredients in the digital outcomes and endeavours of our customers, we recognised the contributions and success of our partners in these areas. They are modern workplace; business applications; applications and infrastructure; and data and artificial intelligence.

Today, I want to say thank you to all the partners that participated in this year’s awards, and to the individuals who took the time and effort to write, revise, and submit the nominations of your company’s accomplishments.

Our award winners demonstrate what it means to be successful within the Microsoft partner community. Most importantly, they’re customer focused, and show how that mindset can put them above and beyond their competitors, all while striving to help customers achieve more and meet their digital transformation goals.

Please join me in welcoming and congratulating the winners noted below.
