Microsoft today announced that the Surface Book 2 will be available in Singapore starting from 15 March, with pre-orders commencing today, 7 February, from the Microsoft Store, as well as authorised retailers including Best Denki, Challenger, Courts, LOL by Epicentre, Harvey Norman, and Newstead, both online and in-store.

Surface Book 2 will also be available for pre-orders for commercial customers via Authorised Device Resellers including AsiaPac Distribution Pte Ltd, JK Technology Pte Ltd, and UIC Asian Computer Services Pte Ltd.

Starting from S$2,188, the Surface Book 2 is Microsoft’s most powerful laptop yet. With the latest 8th Generation Intel® Core™ processors and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and 1060 discrete graphics options, the Surface Book 2 provides all-day battery life, supporting up to 17 hours of video playback[1].

For users that seek a powerful yet portable device, the Surface Book 2 (13.5”) weighs just slightly over 1.5kg, and is crafted from premium, lightweight materials that balances performance with size.

“For customers looking for the ultimate in mobile computing performance, we are excited to be bringing Surface Book 2 to Singapore,” said Veronica Chiu, Windows and Devices Business Group Lead, Microsoft Singapore. “At Microsoft, we continue to push boundaries in creating devices that offer performance and versatility. Surface Book 2 is the ultimate computing powerhouse and will serve the needs of users who are searching for a device that takes productivity to the next level.”

Work and play the way you want with the Surface Book 2

The Surface Book 2 is able to morph from a laptop into a powerful, lightweight tablet or even as a powerful studio for those who want a single device that can follow one from concept to sketch to creation. The device has been redesigned so that users can have a smoother, faster detach of the screen with just a push of a button. In addition, the Surface Book 2 can be simply folded to activate Studio Mode to ink or sketch with the Surface Pen[2] and Surface Dial[3].

Available in 13.5” or 15” and featuring a stunningly vibrant and crisp PixelSense™ Display supporting multi touch, the Surface Book 2 empowers users to create the way they want – whether by inking, touch or conventional keyboard and mouse input. For visual artists and creatives, the Surface Book 2 delivers almost seven million pixels onscreen, providing amazing pixel density on a digital canvas.

For users who require productivity on-the-go, Surface Book 2 ships with Windows 10 Pro and supports Microsoft Office apps. The device also brings a full array of ports, including USB-A, USB-C, and full-size SD reader so that it is easier to connect to other devices, accessories and memory cards.

With the latest Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, Surface Book 2 users can unleash their creativity with the new Photos app, as well as a new range of experiences that allows for creating and interacting with 3D objects. The Fall Creators Update is also the best version of Windows for PC gamers, and coupled with the Surface Book 2, users can be sure that the device will be able to handle the most popular PC games at 1080p and 60 FPS – in some cases matching the graphics performance of game consoles like the Xbox One.
