As Singapore aims to reach net-zero “by or around mid-century”, companies like solar panel manufacturer REC Group, are looking to digital transformation to better provide clean and affordable solar power for Singapore and the region.

With help from Microsoft, REC Group is building solid foundations to address demand for renewable energy as we move towards an energy reset and the pursuit of a green economy to help users create less carbon footprint and restrain greenhouse gas emissions.

Together with Microsoft and T-Systems, REC Group transitioned to S/4HANA on Azure, and can now generate reports and perform analytics much faster, leading to higher efficiency while minimizing operating costs. As ‘Solar’s Most Trusted’, it is now better equipped to make more informed business decisions and accelerate its customer centric service.

For example, REC Group can now use data analysis to gain insights into any parts of its business in minutes by connecting multiple data sources in real time, and get clearer visibility of its inventory to benefit supply chain management.

Microsoft Azure continues to offer the flexibility for companies to scale up, without having to worry about physical limitations of a date centre, allowing customers and partners to move forward confidently and seamlessly.
