Solutions Specialists Lead, Microsoft Singapore
Richard leads the Solutions Specialists sales and technical teams at Microsoft Singapore, where he is focused on driving strategy and execution across the solution areas of Azure, Business Applications, Modern Work, Security and Unified Services in the Enterprise Commercial and Public Sector segments.
Richard joined Microsoft in 2016 as part of the Asia Incubation team where he worked across nascent technologies including Blockchain, Mixed Reality and Sustainability, scaling key partnerships with Accenture and Avanade, and growing Azure consumption across Asia. He later moved to the Singapore business to spearhead the Azure strategy and execution across strategic customers including Grab, for which he received the Microsoft Circle of Excellence Platinum Club Outstanding Achiever and Gold Club Choice awards in 2020. Richard was most recently the Azure Solutions Sales Director for the Enterprise Commercial and Public Sector segments driving adoption of Azure solutions across Cloud Infrastructure and Applications and Data Analytics and AI.
Prior to Microsoft, Richard spent more than 15 years in the technology industry working across sales and business development, consultancy, and delivery roles in the areas of Cloud, Data Center, Virtualization and Networking directly with customers in Asia Pacific and Japan as well as indirectly through partners, with organizations including Cisco Systems, BMC Software, VMware and Nuage Networks.
A huge believer in equal opportunity and accessibility enabled through technology, Richard is a strong advocate for using technology as a powerful empowerment tool, especially enabling girls and women to amplify their voices and impact on a global scale.
Richard lives in Singapore and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from St. Xaviers College, Calcutta and a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from the University of Technology, Sydney.
