Partnership to offer local customers joint cloud capabilities and a trusted path to digital transformation.

CASABLANCA, Morocco – 11 February 2019 – Microsoft has teamed up with SAP to provide a newly-integrated cloud offering to their enterprise customers in francophone Africa. Local customers can now deploy SAP S/4HANA® — SAP’s intelligent cloud ERP software — on Microsoft Azure to enhance performance, productivity, security, and innovation.

“As more local businesses start integrating technology into their operations, they are looking for platforms and partners they can trust,” says Hicham Iraqi Houssaini, Country Manager for Microsoft French-Speaking Countries in Africa. “Through this partnership, we are giving our enterprise customers a secure platform to run business-critical applications and workloads.”

According to PwC’s report on The Africa Business Agenda, with the advances in technology and the Internet of Things, 71 percent of African CEOs say they are concerned about cyber threats – making security a top priority.

Microsoft and SAP first announced this joint offering in November 2017, to promote business innovation in a trusted and secure cloud.

“Companies are increasingly turning to the cloud to enhance their competitiveness, by streamlining their operations, optimising their business models, and building better customer relationships,” says Houssaini. “This joint offering will accelerate their digital transformation efforts, and help companies win in the customer-driven growth revolution.”
