Microsoft launches ‘Forward Together Reimagine Tomorrow’ virtual summit at Manama Entrepreneurship Week

November 22, 2020; Manama, Bahrain-   Under the patronage of Sheikh Hisham bin Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Governor of Capital Governorate, Microsoft  activated its “Forward Together Reimagine Tomorrow” summit, as it joined as a digital transformation partner in the sixth edition of Manama Entrepreneurship Week. The event lasted for two days and included a number of specialists outlining the latest innovations and pioneering technologies across various sectors.

Microsoft experts shed light on how to boost the digital transformation journey of the Kingdom’s institutions, and how to build resilience that empowers them to respond to current and future challenges. Another focus area included the reinvention of work and enhancement of abilities to recover from crises.

The Governor affirmed that the continuation of organizing Manama Entrepreneurship Week for the sixth consecutive year comes as part of the governorate’s efforts towards boosting the culture of entrepreneurship among Bahraini youth and small to medium enterprises. This initiative will motivate them towards establishing their own projects, as well as unleashing their creativity. The Governor also expressed his pride in partnering with Microsoft.

Sheikh Saif Hilal Al Hosni, Country Manager, Microsoft Bahrain and Oman said: “This partnership is in line with our commitment to support initiatives that harness the vast potential of technology to re-invent business models in the Kingdom. The pandemic posed significant challenges across all sectors, however in addressing challenges we witnessed years of digital transformation within months.”

At the event, Microsoft highlighted the “Microsoft for Startups” program, an initiative that aims to support startups by enabling them to broadly access technology to ensure the enhancement and expansion of their operations.
