Johannesburg, South Africa: 29 September 2021 – Microsoft South Africa hosted its annual virtual Partner Awards last night to recognise and reward the excellent performance, resilience and innovation of its partners, particularly in the face of ongoing challenges presented to businesses across the country.
“Our diverse partner ecosystem is critical to launch products and services, and build skills that enable the widespread digital transformation required to remain relevant and keep up with the rapid pace of change in today’s world,” says Lionel Moyal, Global Partner Solutions Director, Microsoft South Africa.

Against this backdrop, Gijima Holdings was announced as this year’s MD Partner of the Year.
Gijima Holdings is one of the country’s leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies, specialising in cloud technologies, and enterprise solutions and services to improve productivity, increase efficiency and drive better customer engagement.
The organisation is a South African Microsoft Gold Partner, and winner of ten Microsoft Partner Network awards since 2012. This includes being named the 2016 Microsoft Messaging and Communications Partner of the Year, and finalists in the Data Centre and Cloud Productivity categories.
It is also the first South African organisation to have earned the Microsoft Advanced Specialisation: Windows Server and SQL Server Migration to Microsoft Azure certificate. The certificate is awarded to partners recognised for their knowledge and skill within Microsoft Azure, particularly around migrating Windows-based workloads to Azure.
