Company launched Windows 365 Cloud PC for remote workers in the UAE market, and demonstrated a range of sustainability use cases that leverage the HoloLens 2 headset
23 February, 2023; Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Microsoft has successfully participated as a Strategic and Sustainability Partner, and Sustainability Transformation Zone Partner at IDC Middle East’s CIO Summit held at Atlantis the Palm in Dubai on 22 and 23 February 2023. The event brought together some of the region’s most prominent C-suite executives to explore the current state of the digital economy and the latest innovations to benefit citizens, customers, employees, and operations.

With the Dubai-hosted COP28 climate conference just months away, Microsoft brought a strong message of sustainability to this year’s event. The company conducted a live demonstration of its cutting-edge industrial metaverse scenarios using the powerful combination of Microsoft Azure and the HoloLens 2 mixed reality headset and launching Windows 365 Cloud PC in the UAE data center.

In the Sustainability Transformation Zone, Microsoft partnered with PTC to showcase the innovative power of the industrial metaverse using Mixed Reality, IoT and AI. By leveraging immersive technologies in the cloud, the industrial metaverse is reshaping collaboration between humans and machines to enhance the design, construction, operation, and optimization of physical systems, to ultimately improve sustainability and efficiency. Live demonstrations of PTC Vuforia on Microsoft HoloLens 2 and PTC ThingWorx on Microsoft Azure will showcase how organizations can achieve operational efficiency, improve workplace safety and productivity and innovate for a more sustainable future. Microsoft also showed event attendees how to futureproof their business and meet their sustainability goals, with Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability.
