Msheireb Properties (MP), a leading property developer in Qatar, and global technology leader Microsoft, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that marks the beginning of a transformative collaboration established to create a cutting-edge ‘Smart Experience’ for residents, visitors, and retail and commercial customers in MP’s flagship development, Msheireb Downtown Doha (MDD).
The ‘Smart Experience’ Project will revolutionize how people interact with urban environments, designing and incorporating innovative solutions to enhance the daily lives of those within MDD. This initiative aligns with Msheireb Properties’ commitment to maintaining a sustainable and technologically advanced urban environment while providing an improved experience for all who engage with MDD.
As part of the MoU, Msheireb Properties and Microsoft will explore the use of Microsoft Azure services to enhance the Smart City Experience products, services, and solutions offered to the Msheireb Downtown Doha community. There are also plans to introduce Microsoft AI capabilities within MDD to foster innovation for residents, visitors, customers, and employees, making the district a hub of creativity and technological advancement.
