Microsoft Ignite 2020: Empowering the technical community to help customers innovate and rebuild in a changing world

 |   Microsoft Indonesia

Because the world is in unchartered territory with COVID-19 impacting people, organizations and economies this year, Microsoft is pivoting Microsoft Ignite from a week-long, in-person event to two global events that are free, 48-hour digital gatherings. The first event is September 22-24, and registration is still open.

The company will be adding a second Microsoft Ignite in early 2021 to create an additional opportunity to connect with technical communities, and to share the latest product developments.

From the experience of holding global digital events this year, Microsoft believes it has the opportunity to bring the whole global community together in one place to create a truly worldwide event.  For this reason, the individual Microsoft Ignite Tour events in different cities around the world will not be held this year; instead Microsoft Ignite will bring all global participants together and include the opportunity for local community meetups, will have language localization, and participants will also be able to get skill building with Microsoft Learn and certifications.

In addition, all participants of Microsoft Ignite who complete at least one collection in the Microsoft Ignite Cloud Skills Challenge are eligible for a free certification exam, subject to Terms and Conditions, to help you continue skilling up and prove your technical expertise to employers and peers.

Finally, it should be noted that the second Microsoft Ignite event to be held early next year will not replace Microsoft Build. Microsoft will continue to host Microsoft Build as the forum for developer communities to come together.
