Microsoft appoints Willy Cho as new Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft Korea

South Korea – 1 August 2023 – Microsoft today announced that Willy Cho (Wonwoo Cho) has been appointed as the new CEO of Microsoft Korea, effective as of August 21, 2023.

Willy Cho has more than 25 years of experience in the business-to-business technology industry, from cloud to digital solutions, and enterprise software. Before joining Microsoft Korea, Willy Cho led leadership positions at Megazone Cloud and GE Digital Korea, overseeing business operations and management in the region. Willy Cho also served senior leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Cisco Systems.

Willy Cho will lead Microsoft’s business in Korea, focusing on supporting businesses, partners, and the country to accelerate digital transformation and continue innovation with cloud and AI-powered technologies.
