New partnership with Compass Offices empowering more customers with Office 365 for productivity anywhere and on any device
Hong Kong, December 2, 2014 — Microsoft’s cloud business has continued to gain traction in global markets. The company grew its commercial cloud revenue by 128 percent, the 5th consecutive quarter in which it has more than doubled. Office 365 is now on a $4 billion run rate worldwide. In Hong Kong, Office 365 commercial revenue more than doubled year-on-year, and over 60% of enterprise customers are now running two or more Office 365 workloads. Among SMBs, new cloud customers tripled compared to last year, and sales of new Office 365 have grown six-fold this fiscal year. Microsoft continues to grow its cloud partner ecosystem, and the new partnership with Compass Offices, one of the fastest growing serviced office providers globally, will bring the cloud productivity vision to even more companies in Hong Kong and throughout the region.

In addition to expanding its cloud partner ecosystem, Microsoft also introduces many product updates to Office 365, further differentiating its cloud offering from the market. Over the past 12 months, Microsoft has shipped 150 features and updates for Office – with 50 of these in the past three months. Recent updates include delivering a major update to the Office for iPhone apps, updated versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint built from the ground up for iPad, a preview of the new Office for Android Tablet apps, and unlimited OneDrive and OneDrive for Business storage for all Office 365 subscribers at no additional cost.
