Sofigate innovates with Microsoft Copilot in readiness for a digital revolution
In line with its motto “Business is technology, and technology is about people”, Sofigate creates sustainable transformation through business technology. As part of this mission, Sofigate recognised early the potential of Generative AI to change the way we work.
It began using Microsoft Copilot in 2023, placing emphasis on the need to innovate in order to be well placed to support its customers.
Supporting innovation in generative AI
The Helsinki-headquartered company supports business and technology leaders to lead digital transformation. Its 700+ certified Business Technology experts in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Hungary and Poland help businesses to transform at ease with the speed of change.
Adoption of Microsoft Copilot is high in Finland. Businesses in the country typically have a strong digital readiness and appetite for AI. Juho Nevalainen, Executive CTO at Sofigate, explains, “Now the market is changing and each company is looking for their own gen-AI strategies. They really need a forerunner to help them with this – and we need to be that forerunner.”
At the forefront of AI
“Sofigate wants to be at the forefront of AI,” states Mikko Saari, VP BT Integrator at Sofigate. “And Copilot is one of the biggest changes in the market. If you’re not leveraging this, you’re out of the game.”
To deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot internally, Sofigate leant into the support of its partner, Atea Finland. Atea Finland is one of Northern Europe’s leading providers of IT solutions. Its support and framework for AI deployment helped to guide Sofigate’s adoption of Microsoft Copilot.
Staff enthusiastically welcome Copilot
The Sofigate team are satisfied that they have a trustworthy partner and, with Microsoft, trustworthy technology. User acceptance has been high and the rollout has progressed quickly and successfully.
“So far we have more than 500 users in our organisation,” reports Jussi Vuokko, Senior Advisor at Sofigate. “People are leveraging Copilot daily for customer assignments and activities.”
Staff are exploring the potential creatively to identify where Copilot can best support their own ways of working. Olivia Frӓnti, Business Executive BCM and Agile Excellence at Sofigate, explains, “I quite often use the prompts ‘rephrase’, ‘create’, ‘give me new ideas’, ‘shorten’ and ‘make this easier’. So Copilot is freeing time and making everything much more efficient.”
The great results reflect Sofigate’s expertise in helping its own customers in accelerating time to value. As Mikko Kalenius, Head of Productivity at Atea Finland, emphasises, “At the moment our imagination is the limit to using AI.”
