Zurich, June 1, 2026 – Microsoft today announced that Ellese Caruana has assumed the role of PR & Communications Manager for Switzerland, effective June 1, 2026. In this role, Caruana reports to Michael Isaac, Head of PR & Communications at Microsoft Switzerland & Austria, and is responsible for external and internal communications as well as thought leadership positioning in Switzerland.
Caruana joins Microsoft from Clariant, where she served as Media Relations and Social Media Manager. She brings more than 10 years of experience in strategic communications across international and highly regulated environments, with a focus on media relations, executive positioning, and integrated storytelling. Earlier in her career, she also worked as a journalist and radio reporter.

Caruana holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy with marketing from University College London.
The communications team at Microsoft Switzerland now consists of Ellese Caruana, PR & Communications Manager for Switzerland; Johannes Prüller, PR & Communications Manager for Austria & Switzerland; and Michael Isaac, Head of PR & Communications at Microsoft Switzerland & Austria. Together, they will continue efforts to strengthen Microsoft’s positioning and engagement in the region.
