Microsoft Appoints Eugene Kahanovskiy as Country Manager for Ukraine and the Baltic Countries

Microsoft has announced the appointment of Eugene Kahanovskiy as Country Manager for the Baltic countries and Ukraine: Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, effective January 2026.

Microsoft announced the appointment of Eugene Kahanovskiy as Country Manager for Ukraine and the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania), effective January 2026. He succeeds Leonid Polupan, who has decided to pursue opportunities outside the company.

Eugene will lead Microsoft’s business across a region that combines exceptional digital resilience with some of Europe’s most advanced digital ecosystems. His focus will be on strengthening cybersecurity, accelerating secure cloud adoption, enabling responsible AI use, and expanding digital skills to support long-term economic growth.

Eugene holds Master’s degrees in Law and Economics from Kyiv National Economic University and in Philology from Kyiv National Linguistic University. He brings 20 years of experience in the technology sector. Since joining Microsoft in 2019, he has held senior leadership roles in Customer Success and the Public Sector, and most recently served as Country Manager ad interim, deepening partnerships across the region and supporting digital infrastructure continuity amid significant geopolitical and technological challenges.
