Ireland remains a top global market for AI adoption

Microsoft’s latest AI Diffusion report for Q1 2026 shows that Ireland remains one of the top global markets for AI adoption, with 48.4% of its working-age population using AI – a rise of 3.8 percentage points from the previous quarter. Ireland holds fourth place internationally, matching other strong European performers. Should the current rate persist into the next quarter, Ireland is expected to exceed the 50 percent milestone and may overtake Norway, which currently sits at third place globally for AI adoption.
