With Office apps that work on any device and world-class security and privacy standards, including ISO 27001 and European Union certifications, Office 365 has become the preferred cloud service for businesses of all sizes around the world.

“Office 365 is one of Microsoft’s top products and enjoys exceptionally high growth,” said Panjaporn Vittayalerdpun, Microsoft Office Division Business Group Lead, Microsoft (Thailand) Limited. “Thailand is the fastest-growing market for Office in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2013, Office 365 recorded 1,000% growth in Thailand, and we expect to achieve a minimum of 400% growth this year. These figures are in line with a recent IDC study, which highlights the massive potential of Thailand’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) market. Valued at USD 87 million in 2013, the market has grown by 40% to reach USD 121 million this year.

Office 365 offers a wealth of plans tailored to meet the different needs of large and small businesses as well as individual users. In addition to world-class data protection standards like the ISO 27001 and European Union certifications, the service also excels in ease of use, flexibility and value. Customers can choose to pay for the service on a monthly basis, while BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) needs are capably addressed as Office 365 is the only cloud service with full native support for desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets. This makes it the best choice for businesses whose employees are required to work on-site or on the go – including the travel and aviation sectors, both of which have been growing at great pace as ASEAN Economic Community integration draws near. Office 365 is also enjoying an enthusiastic reception from the manufacturing sector, enabling businesses to cope with natural disasters that may disrupt operations. With Office 365, employees can access the company’s resources and maintain communication regardless of their locations,” added Panjaporn.

Nok
Airlines PCL, said: “In response to our users’ growing needs, we have brought Office 365 in as an email and file sharing platform as we wanted to avoid additional security risks posed by external free email and cloud storage services. Additionally, Office 365 offers far greater value than traditional storage investments. After a year of use, we recorded a seven- to eight-figure drop in IT investment requirements. This has the additional benefit of giving us greater flexibility as smaller investments can proceed through the approval process with few complications. On top of this, most of our employees prefer to bring their own devices to work, and Office 365 is equipped to respond to this BYOD trend. As the person in charge of the company’s IT affairs, I have to achieve a balance between company policies and technological progress, and Nok Air fully intends to make mobile and cloud a greater part of its future IT investments.”

“The airline business is highly competitive, and the ability to efficiently control expenses is among our top priorities. When it comes to the cloud, we have complete confidence in Microsoft as a world-class cloud service provider. Coupled with previous familiarity with Office software, this makes Office 365 the preferred productivity solution for Thai Smile. In addition to better performance, excellent cost control capabilities have given us an edge in this competitive market,” Patcharaporn Sopsarn, Head of IT, Thai Smile Airway Co., Ltd.

Microsoft launched the cloud-based Office 365 productivity suite in 2011. Today, it has become one of the company’s fastest-growing products. Worldwide Microsoft financial results from the first quarter of 2014 showed that revenue from Office 365 had doubled year-on-year as commercial seats almost doubled, while Office 365 Home reached 4.4 million subscribers. In total, Office 365 now boasts a worldwide user base of 110 million people.
