Cloud service delivers intelligence for businesses with integrated, purpose-built apps

Bangkok, 14 March 2017 – Microsoft (Thailand) Limited has made the company’s latest cloud service – Dynamics 365 – available to customers as part of its commitment to empower organizations in their digital transformation journeys. Designed to address specific business needs across the whole organization, Dynamics 365 is Microsoft’s next generation of business apps in the cloud, bringing together the full power of productivity, advanced analytics, Power BI and IoT, along with the strength and flexibility of Azure, and a new application platform and common data model to help transform business process end to end.

With solutions that cover the full spectrum of business requirements – including Financials, Field Service, Sales, Operations, Marketing, Project Service Automation and Customer Service – Dynamics 365 delivers purpose-built apps that infuse everyday workflow with intelligence capabilities in a seamless fashion.

From automated technician dispatches for preventive field equipment maintenance to lead generation through social channels, users will gain access to apps, features, and insights relevant to their respective roles and responsibilities, including the option to add even more apps from Microsoft’s trusted partners through the Microsoft AppSource marketplace.

“By the year 2020, businesses armed with intelligence-driven insights will be able to win $1.2 trillion per year in revenue from competitors who lack this capability[1]. Furthermore, we can expect sizable portions of revenue, sales, and support activities to take place within the digital landscape in the coming years[2],” said Wachirawuth Rattiwarakorn, Industry Solution Lead, Microsoft Dynamics. “In Thailand, many companies have recognized the potential of data in driving their business to new heights. We are looking to build on this success with a platform that is more integrated, customizable, and tailor-made for business needs from individual to strategic levels.”

In addition to apps that deliver immediate impact where it matters, Dynamics 365 integrates seamlessly with Office 365 apps such as Outlook, Excel, and Word, allowing users to carry out tasks such as invoice creation or sales prospect assessment without having to leave the app or switch to another tool. Dynamics 365 apps also take advantage of not only data found within the apps but also the organization’s data as well as data from the web, social networks, and from Internet of Things devices.

Thanks to the use of a common data model across the entire platform, Dynamics 365 also offers customers the ability to add new functionality and custom apps using PowerApps, Microsoft Flow, or other professional developer solutions. The wide range of apps available from partners on Microsoft AppSource are also based on this common model for simple integration into the organization’s workflow – including the ability to try and evaluate new apps from within Dynamics 365 itself.

“Dynamics 365 offers a hugely varied set of apps that suit the specific needs of organizations in virtually every industry – from accelerating the analysis, design, and manufacturing of race car components for Renault Sport Formula One Team and Real Madrid’s engagement with 450 million football fans around the world to next-level CRM capabilities at leading research firm Gallup,” said Wachirawuth. “The availability of Dynamics 365 in Thailand will open up new opportunities for businesses to transform themselves for the digital economy and take advantage of new, insight-driven possibilities.”
