Pre-orders in Thailand set to start on August 2 from 14,999 baht

Bangkok, July 23, 2018 – Microsoft Thailand has announced the Surface go, the latest 2-in-1 device from the Surface family that offers all capabilities needed for today’s dynamic lifestyle by striking a balance between performance and versatility, form and function. The Surface Go will be available for pre-orders in Thailand from August 2 onward with a starting price of just 14,999 baht at Banana IT and IT City or through the online channel at Microsoft Store Thailand.

Surface Go is the smallest, lightest, and most affordable Surface yet, bringing the power and connectivity expected of a Surface device in a package that measures just 8.3 mm thin and weighs in at 520 grams.

“Surface has been known to provide the mobility of a tablet with the performance of a laptop, inspiring new ways of creating. The Surface Go is our commitment in delivering an enhanced computing experience for people on-the-go in a sized-down form factor. It addresses the need for users that require a lightweight, productive and accessible device that can keep up with their daily demands – whether at work or at play,” said Chanikan Pronanun, Marketing & Operations Lead, Microsoft (Thailand) Limited.

Versatile performance, innovative design – all within a 10” form factor

Powered by the 7th Generation Intel Pentium Gold Processor 4415Y in a fanless design, the Surface Go offers up to nine hours of battery life[1] for users to get through their daily routines smoothly. Optimized for mainstream productivity, Surface Go has plenty of unplugged power, taking you from work or family projects to relaxing with your favorite TV shows, all on a single charge.

Surface Go offers a stunning, custom-built high-resolution PixelSense Display that supports Surface Pen[2] with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, low pen parallax, low latency and precision for accurate note taking, drawing and computer-aided design. Surface fans will not be unfamiliar with the custom calibrated 3:2 display which mimics a letter pad. In portrait mode, the screen is designed to render the page to the scale of most textbooks, and in landscape mode, it can render pages side by side as if one was reading a paperback book. The 10-inch design makes the Surface Go a much more compact and convenient size for daily consumption and creation – whether by ink or keyboard and mouse.

Users can expand the Surface Go’s versatility when paired with the Surface Go Type Cover[3], and the new Surface Mobile Mouse[4]. The Surface Go Type Cover is available in standard black or the Signature Type Cover with Alcantara® in three rich colors — Burgundy, Cobalt Blue and Platinum. It also features a full-size Precision Trackpad that is made of glass and has five-finger multiple touch support. Users can complete full-laptop capabilities with Surface Mobile Mouse, which features Bluetooth pairing and elegant design.

Being able to run Office apps on Surface Go empowers mobile workers and students to be productive wherever they are. In addition, the Surface Go is able to transform into a full desktop with the Surface Dock[5] through the Surface Connect. Surface Go also includes a USB-C port for data, video and charging; a headphone jack; and a MicroSD card reader for storage expansion.

Users familiar with the Surface experience will also recognize the signature elements built within the Surface Go: a built-in kickstand with full friction hinge that extends to 165 degrees helps you stay in your flow from tablet to studio mode, and a Windows Hello camera allows for quick, and secure sign-in using face recognition.

“Packing a punch in a compact form factor, the Surface Go features the best of Microsoft as well as the iconic Surface experience, with no compromise. We are certain that our new addition to the Surface family will be perfect complement to people who live an active lifestyle in today’s connected world,” added Chanikan.
