PTT and Microsoft join forces to accelerate digital transformation and establish sustainable momentum for Thailand’s digital economy

Bangkok, 26 June 2020 –In the vision and ambition to raise Thailand’s national competitiveness, PTT Public Company Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft (Thailand) Limited to forge a strategic partnership in the joint development of cloud and digital innovations as well as skilling enablement for the workforce of the future.. The strategic partnership covers a five-year period from 2020 to 2025 and encompasses collaboration across digital transformation on the Microsoft cloud, addressing needs in data infrastructure, co-innovation and development of disruptive technologies such as AI, IoT, Blockchain, Mixed Reality, and HPC. Both parties will also work together on workforce skills development through initiatives and learning centers run by PTT – including the prospect of establishing an AI Learning Center at Wangchan Valley, Rayong province. Furthermore, PTT and Microsoft will seek to foster sustainable development through joint opportunities that aims to bring greater societal impact in Thailand such as environmental, accessibility, and humanitarian actions.
