The program, titled ” Basic Cyber Security & AI,” was held for students at Sarasas Witaed Saimai School.
The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) and Microsoft Thailand empowered Thailand’s next generation of digital talent through the launch of the “Basic Cyber Security & AI” training program. This initiative, delivered by Microsoft experts, equips 276 Matthayom 4 and 5 students at Sarasas Witaed Saimai School with foundational knowledge in AI technology applications, cybersecurity principles, and threat prevention strategies. Building on a shared commitment to accelerate AI and cybersecurity skills development, this program aims to reach 10,000 individuals by June 2025, fostering a future-ready workforce for Thailand.
Cybersecurity and AI are critical priorities for Thailand’s digital transformation. Equipping the nation’s digital personnel with the necessary skills is essential. As a regulatory body, policy developer, and consultant for Critical Information Infrastructure (CII), NCSA is partnering with Microsoft, a global leader in cybersecurity and AI, to deliver essential knowledge in cybersecurity, threat prevention, and the practical application of AI, including Generative AI. These “Basic Cyber Security & AI” training sessions will be held at leading educational institutions nationwide, preparing students to be key contributors to Thailand’s digital future.

The increasing frequency, complexity, and potential damage from cyberattacks make this knowledge essential. As AI becomes integrated into daily life and organizational operations across Thailand, NCSA is committed to ensuring that Thai personnel are prepared, especially the next generation who will be vital to Thailand’s digital industry. This collaborative project, a hybrid training program with both in-person and online courses, will provide participants with an E-Certification of Attendance from NCSA and Microsoft (Thailand) Limited. We are confident that Microsoft, a global leader in AI and cybersecurity, will play a key role in delivering essential knowledge and training to target groups in Thailand. Together, NCSA and Microsoft aim to train 10,000 Thai youth within four months, raising awareness of cyber threats and encouraging them to pursue studies in computer science, thereby paving the way for their future in the digital industry.”

Microsoft is dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations in Thailand with the skills and technologies needed to thrive in a digital world. Building on a November 2024 collaboration, NCSA and Microsoft Thailand are working together to promote a holistic approach to cybersecurity, combining skills training, regulatory and technology, to elevate Thailand’s digital defenses This includes leveraging AI to revolutionize cybersecurity and enhance the capabilities of cybersecurity professionals. As part of this effort, 368 executives, officers, and network members of NCSA, who play a vital role in cybersecurity across the public, private, and education sectors, received training. Participants gained expertise in Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Security Copilot, enabling organizations to address cybersecurity challenges with greater intelligence and efficiency. Furthermore, Microsoft is partnering with NCSA to offer free online courses through the “AI National Skills Thailand” initiative, aiming to equip 10,000 individuals with AI and foundational cybersecurity skills. These flexible online courses are available at https://www.thnca.or.th, promoting widespread access to cybersecurity knowledge. Together, these initiatives are forging a competitive, secure, and resilient digital future for Thailand.
