10 September, 2010 | Sydney, Australia

Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: “MSFT”) today announced a key milestone for Microsoft Dynamics CRM with the beta release of its next-generation product for cloud-based and on-premises deployments. The beta release marks the worldwide rollout of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online service from Microsoft’s global datacentres, and it will be released to customers and hosting partners for on-premises deployment as Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.

The beta for the new Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online service will be available in eight languages and 36 markets, including Australia, and the final version of the service will be available by the end of the year in 40 markets and 41 languages. Customers and partners can download or sign up for the Dynamics CRM 2011 beta today to evaluate and start building solutions based on the new release.

“Microsoft Dynamics CRM has a tremendous presence in the Australian marketplace, as well as around the world, and we are now offering our customers and partners greater choices in the way they use CRM technology,” said Chris Ridd, director of the Dynamics business group, Microsoft Australia. “Our new Cloud and on-premise beta releases of CRM 2011 give our partners and customer the opportunity to experience first-hand the benefits from the investments that we’ve been making in our Dynamics business.”

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 delivers the Power of Productivity through familiar, connected and intelligent experiences for users inside and outside an organisation:

  • Familiar experiences through a next-generation native Microsoft Outlook client, Microsoft Office contextual CRM Ribbon, RoleTailored design and user personalisation;

  • Intelligent experiences through guided process dialogs, inline data visualisations, performance and goal management and real-time dashboards;

  • Connected experiences through cloud development, Windows Azure integration, contextual Microsoft SharePoint document repositories, teamwork and collaboration and the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace.

“Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 will offer even greater levels of user productivity and collaboration amongst our staff.” said Stephen Alderman, IM Enterprise Architect, Redland City Council. “Our Flora & Fauna Solution is the first application that combines our vast array of information into a flexible easy to manage solution. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 allows us to deliver intelligent solutions to the community and our staff.”

Microsoft also announced that the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace will enter beta later this month. The Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace Beta includes support for Australia. At beta, this new online service will be available at no additional cost and will provide an easy way for partners to market and distribute solutions to Microsoft Dynamics customers, including a catalogue with more than 700 applications and professional services. Customers will be able to access Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace directly from within Microsoft Dynamics CRM to search, filter and download applications, as well as directly connect with Microsoft partners. More information can be found at Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace.

“Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is the rapid business application development framework we’ve all been waiting for,” said Ben Shapiro, General Manager, Cloud & Managed Services at enterprise SharePoint partner, OBS. “We’re particularly interested in the launch of the new Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online service into Australia and the new Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace which will enable us to rapidly build compelling hybrid business solutions with Microsoft SharePoint Online.”
