Surface Pro 3 Arrives in Australia

The tablet that can replace your laptop is on sale now at JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, MicrosoftStore.com and authorised commercial resellers.

Sydney, Australia — Aug. 28, 2014 — Microsoft has today announced retail availability of Surface Pro 3 throughout Australia. The latest in the Surface lineup, Surface Pro 3 is a lightweight tablet that delivers all the power and performance of a laptop. Australian customers can buy any of the Surface Pro 3 Intel® Core™ i3, i5 or i7 models at JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, MicrosoftStore.com and authorised commercial resellers. Microsoft is also pleased to announce that Coca-Cola Amatil and Fortescue Metals Group have chosen to partner with Microsoft in an early- adopter innovation program, receiving Surface Pro 3 today.

With 52% of working professionals in Australia identifying their occupations as mobile or requiring to work from anywhere rather than being deskbound, Surface Pro 3 arrives as Australian working professionals are increasingly looking for more powerful devices to be more productive at work and leisure. According to research conducted by Microsoft, 54% of working professionals are unwilling to carry both a laptop and tablet, while 44% of respondents who do not own a tablet said they could not find a device which gave them the best of both of a laptop and a tablet.
