LiveTiles and Microsoft collaborate on AI accelerator

AI Spark Program boosts Microsoft Partners’ AI skills

SYDNEY – August 7, 2018 – LiveTiles and Microsoft are working together to accelerate the pace at which artificial intelligence (AI) can be deployed by enterprises of all scales in all sectors.

The AI Spark Partner Program has been designed by LiveTiles and Microsoft to help lift the AI capabilities of participating Microsoft partners, so that they are able to develop and deploy AI solutions for their customers and prospects around Australia.

The enterprise AI market is predicted to drive more than $50 billion in revenue by 2021[1] as organisations seek to exploit what Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has described as the “defining technology of our times.”

LiveTiles is an ASX listed software company, headquartered in New York, which has developed an award-winning product suite leveraging Microsoft Azure based technologies to drive intelligent transformation. With no, or low, coding requirements, LiveTiles allows smart solutions to be built using simple ‘drag and drop’ technology.

The AI Spark Partner Program will be launched in Australia, before going global – first to the US, then Europe. Microsoft and LiveTiles are confident of signing the first 10 AI Spark partners in Australia over the next three months.

After using the LiveTiles Bots platform to deliver AI solutions for their customers, the first wave of Australian Microsoft partners have already agreed to join the AI Spark Program –  including Veritec, Velrada and Engage Squared – to further accelerate their AI and transformation journeys.

“Australian businesses are now striving for intelligent transformation and they want to control their own digital destinies – using tools that allow them to take an intelligent DIY approach, and develop sophisticated, impactful solutions without the need for coding” says Karl Redenbach, CEO, LiveTiles. “Through this new partner program, we expect to help accelerate AI adoption within the enterprise.”

According to Microsoft Australia managing director, Steven Worrall; “This is an important opportunity for Microsoft Partners and helps democratise access to intelligence. The AI Spark Program has been designed to equip participating partners with the skills and vision that will make them AI-ready and primed to help drive intelligent transformation for their enterprise customers.

“It leverages LiveTiles’ award winning LiveTiles Bots, developed using the Microsoft Bot Framework, to bridge the gap between human and artificial intelligence and significantly augment what individuals can achieve. AI Spark Partners will also have access to our growing array of Azure based AI and cognitive services to develop really impactful and intelligent solutions.”

Internationally companies already using LiveTiles Bots include Sleep Number, for a customer service bot designed to help customers outside of traditional support hours; N3, for a AI-driven organisational-wide sales portal; and Palmer Donavin, for a warehouse bot designed to help customers collect goods at locations and at specific times. In Australia, LiveTiles is already working with a number federal and state government departments, aviation, education, financial services and professional services organisations.

At Microsoft Inspire, Gavriella Schuster, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft’s One Commercial Partner organisation, showcased LiveTiles Bots with a custom built ‘Ask Gavriella’ bot created in association with Australian-based solutions provider Velrada.

Schuster noted that the LiveTiles Bot is available in the AppSource Marketplace, and can be used by partners to build on, to cobrand and to white label.

The AI Spark Partner Program will ensure partners have the skills and insights to extract maximum value and intelligence for clients.
