Reimagining Australia in the wake of COVID-19

To reimagine Australia’s future is more than an opportunity, it is a conviction we are all feeling. As we all reflect on our experiences of the last six months, the desire to drive positive change is tangible. Part of that equation is digging deeper into the incredible pace and scale of digital transformation and how it has empowered people and organisations with undeniable positive impact through the COVID-19 crisis.

The Reshaping Australia Dialogues

This is the premise of The Reshaping Australia Dialogues six-part virtual event series, that launched today, presented by The Australian Financial Review in partnership with Microsoft Australia.

Over the next three months, The Australian Financial Review Editor in Chief Michael Stutchbury will host a series of dialogues with an impressive line-up of local and international ‘Provocateurs’, along with a panel of business and industry experts. The topics they will explore include: Recalibrating society, Revitalising the economy, Rethinking work, Reinventing education, and Revaluing health.

The series will culminate in a discussion on ‘Reimagining business’, led by The Australian Financial Review’s Tony Boyd. I’m thrilled to share that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will join this conversation alongside a panel of Australia’s senior business leaders who will discuss the global impact of the pandemic, changes it has wrought, and the choices and opportunities that come in its wake. Discussion will focus on how Australian organisations are transforming their business models and reimagining outcomes using data and AI.

Aligned to The Reshaping Australia Dialogues, Microsoft Australia will release The Reimagine Reports, a series of papers which will examine critical aspects of each topic from a broad array of expert thinkers.
