SAS and Microsoft build on global strategic partnership by opening SAS Cloud on Azure in Sydney, Australia

The Australian arms of Microsoft and analytics leader SAS have announced the availability of  SAS Cloud on Azure , furthering the global strategic partnership established by the two companies earlier this year.

The partnership empowers the cloud by building on SAS market leadership in Analytics and Artificial Intelligence and Microsoft Azure cloud leadership, supporting a shared vision to further democratise AI and analytics.

Building on the global partnership, the initiative announced today by Microsoft Australia, Chief Partner Officer, Rachel Bondi and Lynette Clunies-Ross, Region Vice President of SAS Australia and New Zealand, provides the 2nd SAS Azure tenant globally to serve the sophisticated needs of customers in Australia and the region.

Lynette Clunies-Ross said, “Together, Analytics and AI from SAS with the power of Microsoft Azure will underpin the new operating system for Digital Transformation”.

“It represents a tangible local investment in the global strategic partnership when coupled with the establishment of our SAS Cloud Centre of Excellence in Sydney to serve Australia and the Asia Pacific region”.
