Pride is a time where people who identify as LGBTQI+ and Allies come together to celebrate the social and self-acceptance of this community. It enables us to reach beyond boundaries to unite, advance and promote the LGBTQI+ community. Having engaged Allies is critical. They make a difference by lending their voices to support our colleagues, and through their participation in community events.
On June 23rd Microsoft employees, along with their family and friends, marched at the Toronto Pride Parade. Many of our team members are passionate about diversity and volunteer their time to help make Microsoft Canada a place where all employees can thrive. One such group is the Global LGBTQI+ Employees and Allies at Microsoft (GLEAM) employee resource group. Supporting all of our LGBTQI+ employees and allies, GLEAM is focused on fostering career development, advancing equality, celebrating diversity and championing Microsoft’s involvement in the community.
