When non-profit organizations try to contribute to better community life and often have no more than a few people to do the necessary work – what is their solution? Hire more team members, with resources that are limited and much more needed on the projects they are working on, or rely on modern technologies?
Propulsion Fund, with support from Microsoft and TechSoup Balkans, had a good response for this dilemma, at the recent December event in Serbia – Synergy for Good: Tech for Non-profits. During the event, organized for the various NGO representatives, a wide range of professional Microsoft solutions and technologies were presented, while attendees were also introduced to useful details on how to access the Microsoft Philanthropies programs.
Big companies and the non-profit sector are not the opposing ends of the market environment, but rather partners that can each transform society through synergy and cooperation, and move it towards digitalization and innovation.
Microsoft recently launched a series of solutions aimed at the smallest non-profits, intending to help them overcome technological barriers and significantly increase efficiency by moving their work to cloud.
This global aid is being successfully implemented at the local level, which is also demonstrated by the fact that in the last ten years alone, almost $2 million has been donated to the projects of 410 non-profit organizations in Serbia.
