Microsoft is making innovative moves under the leadership of Indian origin CEO Satya Nadella as it has just announced a Linux powered operating system for datacenter networking. Principal Architect, Azure Networking, Kamala Subramaniam, wrote on the company blog, “The Azure Cloud Switch (ACS) is our foray into building our own software for running network devices like switches. It is a cross-platform modular operating system for data center networking built on Linux. ACS allows us to debug, fix, and test software bugs much faster. It also allows us the flexibility to scale down the software and develop features that are required for our datacenter and our networking needs.”

As part of the Microsoft’s ‘Giving Campaign’, employees handed over sanitation facilities to 42 schools in Telangana, Haryana and Karnataka. This also marked the culmination of a six-month long awareness campaign about sanitation and hygiene for 10,746 students in these 42 schools. The campaign was run with help from Charities Aid Foundation. The employees handed over the sanitation facilities to school authorities, teachers and students at GGHS, Mustaidpura Government School in the presence of Ravi Kumar Deputy District Education Officer, Government of Telangana and Amit Sircar, General Manager, Managing Director, Microsoft Services Global Delivery.

As Ubisoft gears up towards the release of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, the company is clearly attempting to focus not just on the scope of this new game’s world, but also just how good that world is going to look. This new concept art shows off some of the historical figures that are going to be in the game including people such as Karl Marx, Florence Nightingale and Charles Dickens. Syndicate is coming to the PC, Xbox One and PS4 on October 23, 2015.

It can trace the mobile number with exact name and location and so it can be considered as a phone directory. Now, Truecaller app has launched the complete version of Truecaller for all the mobile devices running Windows 10 operating system. Also, the app has rolled out with a slew of updates for Windows 10 mobile devices.

The Microsoft Dynamics CRM User Group is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2015 CRMUG All Star award, the 2015 Chapter of the Year award, and the 2015 Chapter Leader of the Year award. These winners were recognized during a ceremony at CRMUG Summit 2015 in Reno, NV. The 2015 Chapter Leader of the Year award recipient is Mike Olean, who leads CRMUG’s Carolinas (Charlotte) Chapter. Chapter Leader of the Year candidates were nominated by the users and partners who attend their meetings.

For millions, Skype remains the go-to VoIP app for messaging and communication. But millions more use WhatsApp or Google Hangouts or another solution. For them, Skype has a new option: initiating a Skype session via a direct link. Users of Skype for Windows, Skype for Mac, or Skype for the Web will soon be able to send friends a link. Once they accept it, they’ll be able to launch Skype from the web and join the conversation.

Business leaders and IT professionals from across the UK attended a conference in a country house in Warwickshire to hear Microsoft reveal new developments that will determine how businesses are run in the future. James Akrigg, Microsoft’s Head of Technology for Partners, described the company’s aim to “reinvent” productivity and business processes through a more personal experience using an “intelligent” cloud powered by predictive analytics and technology. He told delegates: “Younger generations coming into business expect to have access the best tools and smarter ways of working. It’s up to businesses now to embrace this technology.”

Halo fans around the world will join together on Oct. 26 to celebrate the global launch of “Halo 5: Guardians,” one of the most anticipated games of 2015. Streaming exclusively on YouTube, “Halo 5: Live,” a six-hour live broadcast, will kick off at 6 p.m. EDT on Oct. 26 and culminate at midnight when “Halo 5: Guardians” goes on sale in North America. “Halo 5: Guardians” is the most ambitious addition to the $4.6 billion sci-fi franchise to date, bringing together a gripping story, deep character narrative and teamwork-based gameplay.
