CUSTOMER AND PARTNER QUOTES
Munish Mittal, CIO, HDFC Bank Ltd. |
HDFC Bank uses IT to run its core business. It is important for us to evaluate newer technology trends and keep our core updated. Some of the newer services available on cloud like Machine Learning, analytics, etc. are interesting but out of reach due to location issues. With India based services offering data residency, some of the higher end services would make Indian companies look at cloud with renewed interest. For Banks, cloud offers ability to reduce go to market & flexibility in demand fulfilment management. |

In our business, we have to be innovative and adaptive in the face of Climate Change and Experiential commerce. For us to grow, being ‘Healthier-Leaner-Faster-Smarter’ is the way forward and cloud has helped us achieve this. Microsoft cloud services from local datacenters will support our business growth initiatives and enable us to reach our customers, partners and other key stakeholders in real-time. Cloud services from these datacenters will address the issues of geo- residency, latency and will support real-time systems that need immediate response time for critical transactions. Affordability of cloud services will also create a level playing field for smaller organizations to execute ambitious and innovative initiatives. We appreciate Microsoft’s initiatives in cloud and wish them all the best. |

We have been evaluating the India Datacenter for our DR (Disaster Recovery) activities. We have successfully replicated our production setup on Azure India Regions and were able to successfully test our BCP scenarios. Quite confident that once India Regions are live we can move all our DR to Azure. We are also evaluating the possibility of moving our current Production setup to Azure. |

Gopal Krishna, CEO, MMADapps
|
MMADapps feels, that, with a gigantic pool of internet users in India (more than 250 million) and the Government of India initiative of “Digital India”; the two major elements combined together, will act as catalyst in India to become a very large market for internet cloud services. Microsoft announcement of Cloud services from Indian datacenters is important move; certainly addresses concerns on lower latency, possibility of hybrid & community cloud, data residency and regulatory requirement and security. I would like to congratulate Microsoft on general availability of their Azure cloud services through datacenters in India. |
Jagannath Narendran, Senior Vice President, Aspect
|
Companies that are migrating their enterprise transactions to the cloud are realizing better business outcomes, are reallocating CapEx expenditures to core investment areas, and are experiencing faster time to value than companies who have not. Those companies who taking advantage of the cloud have the ability to scale their businesses up and down to the demands of the market much faster putting cloud-smart organizations a big step ahead of the competition.
Microsoft Azure fulfills all this in an elegant platform, and we are pleased to continue our 7 year strategic alliance with Microsoft and further extend this via Microsoft Azure to provide Aspect’s leading customer engagement solutions, unified interaction management and workforce optimization thru the Azure data center infrastructure. |
Captain Ranjan, Principal Consultant, Cognosys |
Microsoft’s strategy to offer cloud services from Indian datacenters solves the pain point of large corporations which have been plagued with regulatory issues. Being very strong in the enterprise segment, this shall lead Microsoft to capture a large market share of cloud business. Sectors like BFSI, state-owned enterprises and government have traditionally been conservative and need continued support from organizations like Cognosys to understand their complex workloads and ensure that same is properly architected to benefit from Azure’s scalability and performance benefits. |
